Dr. Jeffrey Taffet came to Arizona in 1986. He graduated from Syracuse University Magna Cum Laude where he majored in Biology and Fine Arts. He completed his medical education at New Jersey College of Medicine and his residency in Otolaryngology Head and Neck Surgery at Downstate Medical Center in Brooklyn, New York. He also completed a fellowship in Head and Neck Reconstruction and was an assistant professor of Surgery at the State University in New York.
He is a member of the American Academy of Otolaryngology, Head and Neck Surgeons, the American Academy of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery, as well as state and county medical societies.
He serves on the Physician Advisory Board of the Diver Alert Network. He has performed over 15,000 sinus, head and neck procedures.
Dr. Taffet is an active skier, scuba diver and skydiver, with over 5,500 jumps and 500 scuba dives worldwide. He specializes in treating pilots, scuba divers, and skydivers with barometric health issues or concerns. He enjoys hiking the slot canyons of Northern Arizona and Southern Utah. He has participated in Samaritan’s Outreach Program for 13 years where he delivered volunteer specialty medical care to outlying and rural areas of Arizona and the Navajo Nation. In 2000, Dr. Taffet was awarded Physician of the Year by Phoenix Memorial Hospital for his contributions and has been the recipient of Phoenix Magazine’s Top Doctors award multiple years in a row. His highest priorities are his wife Debbie and his two daughters Jordan and Jesse and sons Paxton and Cayden.
